    I just read your entry about expecting the unexpected and it made me think of a thought that has been going around in my head for a few weeks. I was reading section of the my pre-marriage counclling workbook that was taking a very conservative stance on womens roles and lashing out at society for taking what they thought was an unbiblical stance on the issue and it occurred to me that many groups of people see themselves pitted agianst the world or society. I think that this idea merits some discussion. When do you cross the line between following a higher calling agiast the tide of popular opinion to being different just to stand out. I think everyone is a little punk rock. I think there are some obvious answers, but I also think that it could be a productive discussion. When should we be running with popular culture, when should we fight it, and why?
